Located right next to the Part-Dieu train station, Good Motors Agency is the ideal place to rent your motorcycle in Lyon. Our central location means you can pick up your motorcycle as soon as you arrive in town, and set off right away! If you're a Lyonnais, you're just a streetcar ride away from our parking lot, and you can leave at any time of the day or night!

Discover Lyon differently

Lyon is a city full of surprises and roads worth exploring. With a motorcycle, you'll have easy access to the picturesque streets of Vieux Lyon, climb effortlessly to the Fourvière basilica to admire the panoramic view over the city, or ride along the famous quays of the Rhône and Saône rivers. And if you feel like getting away from it all, you can escape to the surrounding hills for a breath of fresh air.

Competitive rates and bikes to suit all profiles

We offer attractive prices to suit all budgets, as well as motorcycles ranging from A1 licenses to large cube models. Let's take a look at some of our bikes.

Some motorcycles available at Good Motors Agency in Lyon

A roadster for town and country: the Royal Enfield Interceptor

A real gem for lovers of retro-style motorcycles, the Royal Enfield Interceptor offers more than enough power to navigate both city and country roads with its 650cc twin-cylinder engine.

Its perfect maneuverability will enable you to thread your way through the narrow streets of Vieux Lyon, or climb the slopes of the Croix-Rousse without effort. Its riding position means you can explore the city for hours without tiring, and believe us, its vintage look won't go unnoticed on the banks of the Rhône!

Adventure trails for all tastes

The Moto Guzzi V85

The Moto Guzzi V85 is a versatile motorcycle, ideal for those who like to get off the beaten track.

Reserved for A license holders, the 853cc Moto Guzzi V85 offers the power to tackle the winding roads of the Monts du Lyonnais without difficulty, even with a passenger on board. The bike delivers enough torque for comfortable riding, even on steep roads!

Perfect for long-distance riding, the Moto Guzzi V85 features a generous, ergonomic seat, making every ride a pleasure, even for two. Thanks to its relaxed riding position, it's ideal for trips lasting several hours, allowing both rider and passenger to enjoy the scenery to the full without feeling tired.

The Honda NX500

The Honda NX500, renowned for its reliability and ease of handling, sees its lightweight chassis as a perfect asset. It's easy to handle, especially in the tight bends of Lyon's hills. Its agility will be a real asset on winding roads, with its willing, torquey engine clearly playing a part.

With its 17-liter fuel tank and fuel-efficient engine (Honda claimed 3.6 l / 100km, but we're more on the order of 4 l / 100 km on the road, with no questions asked about driving), the NX500 will let you go on long rides without going to the gas pump and back.

The NX500's versatility makes it ideal for a variety of journeys, from a city jaunt to a country getaway, and with enough comfort for a passenger to boot.

Good Motors Agency offers you this motorcycle for rent, even if you are a young A2 license holder, the simple certificate of achievement is enough for us, so think about it 😉

The Royal Enfield Himalayan

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is designed for adventure and challenging terrain. This bike is perfect for the steep roads of the Beaujolais or the trails of the Pilat Park. Its sturdy design enables it to withstand tough conditions, offering reassuring stability even when the road becomes unpredictable. Easy to handle, the Himalayan is accessible to beginners who have just obtained their A2 license, as well as to experienced motorcyclists.

Its maneuverability and smooth engine make it an ideal ally for duo rides, with enough power to carry a passenger effortlessly. However, as the Himalayan is a single-cylinder model, don't count on it to cover long distances on the freeway, as these engines don't appreciate staying in the red zone for long periods of time!

While it's not made for the freeway, its off-road capabilities are very convincing, making it the perfect bike for conquering heights and less-traveled trails, alone or accompanied.

A neo-retro 125 for A1 drivers: the Yamaha XSR 125

You don't need a big cube to have fun! The Yamaha XSR 125 is directly accessible with an A1 license. Light and maneuverable, the Yamaha XSR 125 is perfect for navigating busy downtown streets. Its small size makes it easy to weave through traffic and find a parking space.

Style: The XSR 125's looks never go unnoticed. It's an eye-catcher that adds a touch of style to every ride, so why deprive yourself?

Last but not least, its low fuel consumption makes it perfect for daily commutes or short jaunts. It's an economical motorcycle that lets you enjoy the open road without worrying about fuel costs.

And if you're looking for a motorcycle to train for your A2 license, we've written an article on the subject!

Ideas for fun routes around Lyon

The Beaujolais wine route

How to get there :

From Lyon, take the D306 towards Villefranche-sur-Saône. After about 30 km, you'll reach the heart of the Beaujolais region.

What you'll discover :

Beaujolais isn't just about vin nouveau! It's a region of rolling hills, vineyards and golden stone villages.

  • Oingt: Classed as one of France's most beautiful villages, Oingt is a medieval gem located some 30 km from Lyon. Perched on a hill, the village offers panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards and valleys. We recommend a stopover to stroll through the cobbled streets, visit the Romanesque church, then climb up to the tower for a 360-degree panorama that's well worth a look.
  • Vaux-en-Beaujolais: Known as Clochemerle, this village inspired Gabriel Chevallier's satirical novel of the same name. The Circuit Vert, the pissotière (the name of the museum!), the Place du Petit Tertre and the talking planters, Vaux-en-Beaujolais is clearly worth a visit between two escapes!
  • Vineyards: Follow the winding roads lined with vines as far as the eye can see. Many wineries offer tastings. Don't hesitate to stop off at Château de Montmelas, or Domaine de la Madone for a meal in the heart of the vineyard.

The Lyonnais mountains

How to get there :

From Lyon, take the D342 towards Brignais, then the D30 towards Mornant. The Monts du Lyonnais will gradually unfold before you.

The Monts du Lyonnais offer a breath of fresh air just a few dozen kilometers from Lyon. Speaking of fresh air, we recommend that you bring appropriate clothing, as the weather can quickly cool off at altitude, even in midsummer.

What you'll discover :

  • Saint-Martin-en-Haut: This charming village perched at an altitude of 800 meters is the starting point for many hikes. Take the opportunity to visit the Romanesque church and stop for a coffee in the village square.
  • Yzeron: With its lake and outdoor activities, Yzeron is the ideal spot for a nature break. You can try your hand at fishing, pedal-boating, or simply take it easy by the water's edge before hitting the road again.
  • Le Signal de Saint-André: The highest point in the Monts du Lyonnais at 934 metres, it offers breathtaking views of the Alps and the Pilat Massif on a clear day. A perfect spot for a picnic!

Pilat Nature Park

How to get there :

From Lyon, take the A7 to Givors, then follow the D1082 towards Condrieu. From there, the gates to the Pilat Regional Nature Park open up to you. A word of warning before you set off: there are very few service stations in the park, so fill up before you leave!

What you'll discover :

Pilat is a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

  • Col de l'Oeillon: At 1,233 meters above sea level, this is one of the highest points in the massif. The road to it is a treat for any biker, with its twists and turns and exceptional panoramas. At the summit, you can admire breathtaking views over the Rhône valley and, on a clear day, catch a glimpse of Mont Blanc. Beware, however, of the many cyclists who climb the pass during the summer months!
  • Malleval: This medieval village clinging to the mountainside is a veritable treasure trove. Take the time to lose yourself in its narrow streets, visit the 11th and 17th century church and enjoy the peace and quiet.
  • Le Saut du Gier: An impressive waterfall in the heart of the forest. From the hamlet of La Scie du Bost, a short 30-minute hike will take you to this natural site where you can cool off and enjoy the scenery.

Activities :

  • Paragliding: If you want to get away from it all, the Pilat region is renowned for its paragliding spots. Thrills and incredible landscapes guaranteed as you soar over the mountains!
  • Wildlife watching: The park is home to a rich biodiversity. If you're lucky, you may spot chamois, deer or birds of prey.
