The weather is often the first question people ask before renting a motorcycle.

Should I postpone if it rains? Can you ride in summer without suffering? Is it risky to rent in winter?

☀️ Summer driving: beware of the heat

Summer is the favorite season for motorcyclists... but also the hottest.

Our advice:

• Favour early starts to avoid heat peaks
• Wear approved summer gloves (supplied with your motorcycle by Good Motors)
• Avoid black clothing and plan to hydrate regularly
• Opt for a motorcycle with a raised or ventilated position (e.g. NX500, R12GS)

🌧️ Rain forecast: is it serious?

Rainy weather doesn't mean you have to cancel your rental.

Best practices :

• Adapt your speed and braking distance
• Stay visible: headlight on all the time
• Avoid metal plates (sewers, markings) and work areas
• Bring rain pants or overpants (optional depending on city)

🌧️ In the event of light rain, a shelter will suffice. In the event of persistent rain, you can postpone your departure if you give 24 hours' notice.

❄️ Can you ride a motorcycle in winter?

Yes, but with the right practices and the right model.

Our bikes like the Moto Guzzi V85 Travel or the BMW F900 GS are perfectly stable, even at low temperatures.

Specific advice :

• Dress warmly (winter gloves, neck warmers)
• Avoid icy or isolated mountain areas
• Choose daytime trips

🌦️ What if the weather changes after you've booked?

No need to panic.

If conditions become really difficult, Good Motors accepts rental changes or postponements up to 24 hours before departure.
